ANOTHER LEARNINGS

During the Third Grading Period, I have learned more things from our subject TLE ICT IV. I have learned more about HTML tags. I have applied what I learned during the Second Grading Period in making Web Pages, and how to design it. I know all these things could help me in the future.

But before I have achieved what I have learned, I encountered small problems in applying what I’ve learned in HTML. At first, I don’t know how to make my own web pages and how to design them. But later on, I planned about it and it resulted to a nicer one. I also had a limited time in designing my FrontPage File so I was not able to do my plans about it. But still, I manage to finish those even if it didn’t satisfy me.

I’ve done a lot of things to solve my problems. I used my time wisely in exploring FrontPage so that I would know what to do. I also used the computer of my cousin in planning my design for my web pages about our community based project so that it would be easier for me to finish it.

Moving on, I will explore more computer programs so that when we will be making another project, I would be able to know about that already, it would be easier for me to deal with it when time comes and it may result to a more beautiful one. I will do my best this last grading period so that I would be able to learn more things which could help me in my future life.

THE REAL CHRISTMAS

The month of December has come. Many people are decorating their houses with different Christmas decors such as lanterns, Christmas Trees, Christmas Lights and Garlands. Some are listing different gifts to give their relatives and friends during the Christmas Eve. Some consider all those things as the real essence of Christmas. But are these things really the true essence of Christmas?

“Ang Tunay na Diwa ng Pasko
Na dapat nating isapuso
Ay ang umibig at magpatawad sa kapwa tao
Nang ang Pasko ay maging ganp sa buhay mo.

Ang Tunay na Diwa ng Pasko
Na sa ati’y itinuro ni Kristo
Ay ang mag-alay ng sarili sa kapwa tao
Iyan ang tunay na Diwa ng Pasko.”

Every time I feel that Christmas is coming nearer, this is the song that usually comes into my mind first. This song means a lot to me. Through this song, I have known the real and true essence of Christmas- to forgive, to love, to share and to have peace and unity all over the world. Material gifts and Christmas decors are just simple things that easily fades as times past by. But love, forgiveness and peace never last. Christmas is the Birth of our Savior, JESUS CHRIST, who sacrificed Himself to die for our freedom. He has done all those things because He loves us. So, we should also do the same thing not only during His birth but everyday. As some people say, “Christmas is Everyday.”

The best gift I can give to my community this Christmas is not the ordinary gift which can be bought in stores but LOVE, FORGIVENESS, SHARE what I have, and have PEACE and UNITY with them. Materials gifts easily fade but my extraordinary gifts would last until ETERNITY.

Filipino Values Month Celebration

“Pagpapatibay ng pagkataong Pilipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon”-was the theme of the recently concluded Filipino Values Month Celebration last November, 2009. This theme means so much for all the Filipinos.

All of the Nations around the world have their own cultures, traditions, values and ways of living which represent every countryman. We also have our own here in the Philippines. We have our own culture, tradition, values and ways of living. We are very popular because of being hospitable and friendly, having a good family ties and BAYANIHAN. All of these are our identity to be known around the world. We are showing these not only to our fellow Filipinos but also to foreigners. As times pass by, I can say that these things are being strengthened. But because of the beautiful paradise made by GOD is turning into a world of technologies or in short, a MODERNIZED WORLD, these values are being washed out.

So we, Filipinos, should strengthen our cultures, values and traditions so that we have something to leave to the next generations not only in the Philippines but also to other Countries for a BETER WORLD IN THE FUTURE.

MORE LEARNINGS

During the First Grading Period, I can say that I have learned a lot in our subject TLE ICT IV, but I can also say that I've learned more during the second grading period. I have learned about the NOTEPAD and how to create an HTML file. I've known the uses of the different tags that we usually use in creating a web page. I thought before that I will never learn about this but thanks to our TLE teacher because she taught us all about this.

Even though I've said that I have learned a lot, problems are always the hindrance for us to learn. During the earlier days of the Second Grading Period, I still don't know what are the uses of the different tags so when we had our activities, there are times that I am not doing the right thing so my work will not be coming successful and I have to edit it again. Sometimes, I forgot to put an end tag to the text and this makes my activity become not successful.

In solving these problems, I analyzed the functions of the different tags. In this way, I can check if my work is really correct or not, if I have or do not have mistakes. I also watched out on the different tags I'm using and made sure that I've placed an end tag for my text. Even though it is very tiring making an HTML file, I just enjoyed myself typing and bear in my mind that this will be a big help when I go to college.

Moving on... I will work even harder and try to understand all the lectures so that I would not commit mistake during our activities. I will be more active in class and not hesitate in asking help from my classmates or teachers whenever I have a problem on our subject.

THANKS TO YOU

As I enter the school, the first one I see is you.
When I smile and greet you, you smile at me too.
That simple act makes my morning so nice and gay,
And makes me feel good throughout the day.
You have made many things for my own good,
Helps me develop my skills and become more matured.
You teach me how to become a responsible student,
And become a good person until the end.
My dream is to become a lawyer in the future
To help other people especially the poor.
This dream of mine will never come true
If I have not met a person like you.
If in this wide world you do not exist,
I might not have learned on how to read
I might not have written this poem just for you
I might don't have knowledge on what's the best thing to do.
So I want you to know how thankful I am
For all the things that you have done.
In this beautiful paradise, you're really a hero.
Thank you my dear teacher, THANKS TO YOU!

Move On For A Better Future

If one thing changes, we have to adapt ourselves to it. Just like now, the old world of Adam and Eve suddenly became a new world of Technology, a world of Science. And as a human being, we have to adapt ourselves to the changes that occur in this world. This is what the Science Club Theme for this year about-“ADAPTING TO DIVERSE SCIENCE CULTURE FOR DEVELOPMENT.”

Science cultures, like in Technology, are difficult to deal with especially when we are more comfortable with the older machines that we are used to deal with. For now, some people are updated to the new technologies but there are still some who are ignorant about these. And this is the main problem that we have to solve in order not to destroy our environment and to have a better future for the next generations.

We all know that technology is very important at present time to make our work easier, faster and more beautiful. But it could also bring harm to us especially to the environment because of wrong or incorrect usage of technologies-maybe of ignorance or of abusing it. Ignorance can give harm because if we don’t know what we’re doing We might commit mistakes that could result to the destruction of the environment. In abusing, if we are using technologies beyond the limit, the more it could bring harm. But, if we could only adapt ourselves properly to the science cultures, I mean NO MORE, NO LESS, I think, it can never bring harm to us. It can also help us to have a better future and save Mother Earth. Our life would be easier and will encounter fewer problems in terms of livelihood and income.

SO, WHY NOT LEAVE THE PAST AND PUT OUR HANDS TOGETHER TO MOVE ON TO THE NEW WORLD OF SCIENCE, FOR THE WORLD’S DEVELOPMENT; FOR THE WORLD’S IMPROVEMENT.

FILIPINO LANGUAGE: THE KEY OF THE PHILIPPINE IDENTITY

Manuel Luis Quezon, the first president of the Commonwealth in the Philippines, is the Father of our National Language- The Filipino Language. He was born on the month of August at Baler, Aurora. As a respect to his title, we are celebrating BUWAN NG WIKA every year, during his birth month. This year, the theme of this celebration is: "WIKANG FILIPINO: MULA BALER HANGGANG BUONG BANSA."
This theme encourages us to use our national language allover the country. We may speak using our native tongues but people from other provinces would not understand us anymore. This is the use of having a national language- to use it in communicating with our fellowmen.
Our National Language is our identity. Other people would be able to know our nationality as Filipinos if they hear us using this language. We should be proud in using this language. We should be thankful for being born as filipinos.
Even if he BUWAN NG WIKA is over, we should, still, use this wherever we go in side the country- FOR PEACE AND UNITY and because it is our identity!
